Step By Step Instructions

Note: This lovely necklace may be made in three glazed clay color palettes: blue, red or turquoise.

1. If not already assembled, cut or separate your antique brass plated large round/oval ring chain as follows:

  • 2 pieces of 5 links each (looks most attractive if you begin and end with an oval link)
  • 4 individual oval links
2. Make four (4) of the following components:
  • On a 21g 1.5" nickel-free brass eye pin, place a Vintaj brass flower spacer bead, a 10mm turquoise glazed clay round bead, and another spacer bead.
  • Make a simple loop on the other end of the eye pin.

3. Make one (1) of this component: on another 1.5" eye pin, place a brass flower spacer bead, a turquoise glazed clay trapezoid, and another spacer bead. Make a simple loop on the other end of the eye pin.

4. Assemble the necklace (working clockwise from the clasp):

  • Attach the swirly piece of the Swirl Clasp Set to one end of a piece of 5-link round/oval chain by opening the loop on the clasp and attaching to the end link of the chain.
  • Open one end of one of the components you made in Step 2 above and attach to the other end of the chain; close the loop.
  • Open the other end of the component and attach a single oval link; close the loop.
  • Open one end of another Step 2 component and fasten to the other end of the oval link; close the loop.
  • Open the other end of the component and attach another single oval link; close the loop.
  • Open one end of the component you made in Step 3 above and fasten to the other end of the oval link; close the loop.
  • Repeat the same steps, going backwards starting with the component you made in Step 3. (You do not need to use the ring piece of the Swirly Clasp Set. Use it for another project!)
CONGRATULATIONS! ADMIRE YOUR BEAUTIFUL NECKLACE! Now make one in red!
